We copy the official company registers

Companies House, Brønnøysundregistrene, Bolagsverket, PRH, the Estonian and Latvian registers, and the worldwide LEI file. Each field keeps the name of the register it came from and the day we read it, so you can show a client where a row came from.

You get the whole register, with its paperwork

Legal name and number, trading status, the industry code in the register’s own words, address, founding date and share capital. Where a register publishes it, you also get the company’s own description of what it does.

We separate the companies you can call

A lead has to be trading, has to be a commercial business rather than a club or a housing association, and has to publish a way in. We count only those. Mailboxes that belong to a named person are kept out of every list and every export.

Regulators name the suppliers for us

The EU publishes its approved food and animal-product establishments. The FDA publishes registered device makers. The EU ETS lists industrial installations, Ecolabel lists licence holders, and Israel lists its industrial sites. Each firm comes with an approval number and an official record you can open.

A regulator records what a firm makes. It does not record who buys it. We wrote that down by hand, one mapping at a time. Each mapping carries the sentence that justifies it and says whether it rests on a named regulation or on how that industry normally buys.
